alright, i finaly got my new computer!!! i got a 1.8 AMD Athlon, 512 megs ram, 64 mgb geforce3, 40 gig hard drive, and some other goodies, all for the low cost of $579!!!! ah man, my gaming has NEVER been so damn sweet. well, gotta go. EverQuest is calling!!!

I am getting a simiplar P4 with GeForce 4 for abt $800, a gaming machine. I want to play US. Army (THE coolest shooting game) why is yours so cheap?

READ: AMD. AMD is flogging CPU's for whatever they can get these days. The tables have turned and the P4 is schooling the Athlon's. AMD is set to release a new CPU (Hammer) anytime soon. Watch your back, Intel!

That was the big problem with the launch of the P4, nothing was optimized for the longer pipeline. IMHO, AMD needs to drop the "MHZ is unimportant rhetoric" and build for speed. The average consumer only looks at strictly clock speed,
