When your comp is as sh!tty as a mac, you deserve to have trouble... At least, if it's gaming related... It seems John Carmack was reluctant to run the early Doom 3 builds because the Mac couldn't handle it...

OS 8.6 ? Any reason you haven't upgraded?

Also, don't worry about a virus. There hasn't been a mac virus out for ages.

Hiya

Try dumping the preferences for the particular programme you are in and then when you restart, rebuild your desktop, incase it is fragmented. Hold down alt and apple key together while you restart.

Other than that run Nortons through it. If Nortons finds stuff and repairs, run it through again after to check it has got everything.

I occasionly have that trouble with QuarkXPress and Photoshop 6.0 and dumping my prefs and rebuilding usually helps.

Have you installed any new software lately as sometimes that clashes until you rebuild.

My Dreamweaver 4.0 doesn't like my QuarkXPress much, but I am in OS X now so very very rarely crash.
