Believe me, I would like to play the game more than once. However, judging by the elgth of time that it has taken me to (almost) complete BG1 I think that I will only get one chance. I have spent over 2 yaers on BG1 because of work and other interuptions to my playing time!!!
From what I have seen to date I am tempted by either a human Kensai/Mage or Paladin.

Paladin is definetely the way to go.
Big sword, Big armour and really big aggro. I cant stand all this power playing, people who like to dish out 100's of damage in a round. It just doesnt seem real! Paladins rock (especially Cavaliers), you get the best sword in the game, the naffest stronghold.......but the feeling that when you finish the game in the name of goodness is remarkable!
