Well, I've heard a lot about how fun Jan is in a recent thread. I'm thinking of scrapping my (millionth) wild mage and trying something different to use him in my party. I always go with Jah and Minsc in my party (I'm all sentimental like that), and I keep Imoen when I pick her up. I'll also take one of the clerics. So I'm looking at Jah, Minsc, Vic, Jan, random NPC (for quests)-> Imoen, me. I'm considering either going with a F/T (for spec, extra HLAs and profs.), straight (possibly kit) thief (faster leveling, not that it really matters I'm guessing), or keeping the wild mage. I'm guessing the thief class would be a bit overkill when I already have two partial thief classes, but mages and thieves are the only classes I like. So any ideas?

kenai->mage, you'll start a fighter then become a mage but you'll become incredibly powerfull and fulfil you're wanting to be a mage or thief.

Try out a Sorcerer or a Bard - they're both fun (though the Sorcerer is almost overkill). Jesters are a very fun, underrated kit - give them Invisibility potions or Mislead & have them run into the middle of the enemy & play their song.
You may be a little melee-weak with that party, though, so maybe try out a class you never play, like a Paladin or Ranger. - Imrahil |

I can't be a paly or ranger. I can't play a lawful class, and I can't play a good class. If I'm not playing either a TN or CN, then I'm not having fun. I'm not doing a K/M either. It's way too run-of-the-mill. I played one for a couple levels then got bored. I'm not big into the sorcerors either. IMO, I think the WM is better, just because you have Reckless Dweomer, and the same pretty much goes for the bard. That's why I've pretty much limited myself to the wild mages, thief kits, and F/T.

You could always try an avenger (druid kit), they're always fun.
