Just to answer your rant, I would like to say:

1) I am not saying this is Award Winning Drama that should be taken seriously. View it along the lines of a real life Soap Opera or Professional Wrestling.

2) The Chicks in the relationship weren't hot - but SOME of the other women were

3) The premise WAS a joke - anyone who is in a serious relationship would not go on such a show -UNLESS, they were looking for a free trip and agree to have their last flings before marriage (not saying that is a good thing, but I know couples who said they would be cool with that)
