I have played bg2 for a while, and the only real problem was that it would occasionally freeze when i closed the program (i think my voodoo2 driver is incompatible with directx 8). But the other day i try to play bg2, and a window pops up and says "-1". Then another window pops up and says "An assertion failed in ChDimm.cpp at line number 80". Does anyone know what this could be? I posted this porblem on other boards but nobody helps. All my other games run the same as usual. Some think I may have a virus. My out of date virus scan didnt detect anything, and i am dling another one to be sure. I wast to get back to my game.

im no expert ... and i would just defrag, run scandisk, download the latest antivirus and scan.. now if it still doesnt work, reinstall bg2 but dont erase the save games... and update your drivers for your video card, and dont make your graphics in bg2 in 3d (nothing much anyway, i didnt notice anything)...

Call Tech Support at Interplay...it is your best hope, your fastest answered, and most believable...Though I am not saying that thses guys here cannot help, but the Techs at Intrplay get paid for it.
