I tried converting three sound packs over from IWD2, but there seems to be a few problems in-game. Each sound pack is made up of 23 files, and my problem appears to be the general order those files are put in. For instance, when a character should be commenting on the lack of productivity (standing around, doing nothing), they make grunts like they're hurt.

So I guess, basically what I want to know is if anyone knows how the sound packs are grouped. i.e. the confirmation sounds first ("As you wish", "Aye") and the dieing last ("You're death will be avenged", etc.)

Now that I think of it, I can probably listen to one of the BG1 sound sets in-game, and get the general idea of their order from that.

edited: spelling.

Just open up character creation, get to the voice sets, and listen to them. I recently remember seeing the order on the BG2 forum, but that was for the BG2 soundsets, which are different from the BG1 soundsets

Yeah, that seemed the most common sense thing to do. I have the most basic 13 ("Fight", "As Leader", "I'm Tired", "I'm Injured", etc.), but after that, the IWD2 sounds go a completely different path than the BG2 (BG1 sets only had 13, whereas BG2 had 23).

The IWD2 sounds have a wider variety of the basic 13, where the BG2 ones start to talk about night and day.

Try looking in the game directory for a txt file that shows what order the voices go in, and use that as a guide to renaming the files so they play properly. BG2 had one with it as did BG. Also you might have to use a wav formating program because if the voice wav's are the same as BG2 wav's, then a standard wav player won't be able to play the file. TeamBG has a tool that lets you convert any unplayable wav file into one that is, as well as rename the file appropriately.
