since all of the races can be a paladin(a half-orc paladin, can you imagin that) here and all of those races have their own idea of whats right its save to assume that all of them are fighting for something else.
Does anyone what non-human paladins fight for?
Also, will you be able to use your singleplayer character in multiplayer games or will your multiplayer char be stored online?

I read on neverwinternights.com that your chacter will be online, but you can still play single and multiplayer missions with the same character. They read what is in the module you are playing whenever you save, so that they can tell if you are cheating eg. you are a level 2 character, and you are playing a mission where the most powerful enemy is a goblin, and the best weapon is a +1 sword. You come out at level 15 with a +5 holy avenger and they know something isnt right. That character can then only be official if you get stripped of those exp points and items and take an extra exp reduction. If you disagree, you character won't be registered officially, and you wont be able to play in any official ladders etc.

Let me ask something else, will you be able to have a singleplayer party like in bg or will you be playing solo?

Well, i know you can only have one character in the multiplayer 'worlds', but in single player, i think that you get npc characters to join your party, and i havent a clue if more can jion or leave. you may start with some already. The story of the game turns to the 'heroes', so i presume it isnt solo, unless that means the gaming populace

Isn't it true that there is no pause button? How are you supposed to controll other characters if you can't pause the game. Perhaps they'll just follow you around but won't be controllable.

I assume that there would be a pause button in the single player game, but in the multiplayer game it wouldnt be as people might get annoyed if someone kept pausing every five secs just to go to the toilet or something, but the single player should

Nope, no pauze button in single or multi player.
Also, you canŽt have a party!!!
You will be able to hire merchanaries who will be controled by the A.I but you canŽt take Žem to another module.

I too have heard about the solo party member thing. You can hire a mercenary but you will never be able to directly control them. I didn't know about the pause button thing. Being a mage is going to be slightly more difficult now. Everyone will be using quickspells...

Yes, but in all honesty do you think NN was made for its Solo player? Heh. I kinda wish they put some more effort into it, but its going to be a MMOG. When you are a member of a party in multi-player, being a mage is most likely easier
