The 'Idol of Bongu' grants only, 1 blessing per character.. .. and it is (as LiOnHe@rt mentioned) Random. (However...if you Save. before you make the offering...you can reload, until you get the desired result.. ..)
There are 3 possible attributes;
1.Fortitude
2.'Giant Strike'...Grants a 25% chance to deal double damage with hand weapons.
3.'Berserk'...Increases all hand weapon damage to monsters by 25% and increases the chance of making a successful strike, but the character will receive 25% more damage from monster strikes with hand weapons as well.
**also note, that each character must personally make the offering, to receive a blessing.

The empty Flasks from the 'Serpent Temple' can be dropped....There is a use for empty flasks near the end of the game...But...the supply, far exceeds the need. IIRC..I picked up 12 and you only need 1. (..Hmmmm..I wonder if you can use them as bombs??? )

Reguarding ..REVERT..OR..RESET..
Revert adventures...Only takes the game back to the last time you left town.
Reset adventures...starts the game over. (in Valeia)
You keep; all your skills, stats, gold, gear and current Role.
You lose; certain quest items, guild memberships, guild status and Role history.( meaning ...all roles are available again... )
**important note...If you do Reset adventures....You Must have your party in town, (any town) when you reset. If they are outside of town (still adventuring) they...will..Not..be..available in Valeia!!!
There is (of course) also a 3rd option...Re-install..

Whether or not you should Revert or Reset...Is your call. The important thing...is..Have Fun!!!!!

Thank you very , very much for the quick and informative replies everyone!!
I have re-set the adventures and am now starting from the beginning with my same characters. I should do this because when I first started the game I wasn't really shure what the guilds did 100% and I missed out an alot of stuff. I didn't have the rule-book. So now I will breeze through the beginning of the game and then "catch up" to where I was before. Instead of winning the game and then playing again. This still gives me something to really look forward to. And gives me a chance to get REVENGE on those damned amazoni mantraps outside of Ishad N'ha.....heh..heh...
One cool thing though... when my ninja became an assassin I quicly moved the dagger to another character and didn't lose it. I was afraid that when I reset the adventures I would lose it but that was not the case. Nice!
I'll be seeing you sometime in the future and hopefully I may be able to pass on the help to others like you've done for me.

Did I read you right, Hunter D? You used the evil eye on the flying dragon, and it turned to stone? The flying dragon as in Erathsmedor?

If so, I'm suitably impressed with your skills and abilities. Since you've reset (or is it reverted?), Erathsmedor should be alive again. I wouldn't suggest killing him in general, since he's an important part of the game a short while later, and you might not be able to proceed easily.

hey yeah it's kinda weird to stone the great dragon Erathsmedor. i mean, he is usually resistant 2 any status effects, let alone be STONED???!!! n just as bungleau said, u are advised NOT 2 kill Erathsmedor as he is an important part in the game.
ENJOY URSELF!!!!!!!!

No No NO !!!!!

On one of the inlet areas in the Enchanted sea, there was an area with a chest. I was attacked by some strange blue fairies and a Red Dragon that seemed to be breathing frost.....of all things. I got lucky because the dang fairies were killing me and I was so worried about the dragon. One Evil Eye later by my dwarf and it fell to the ground stoned. THEN I exacted some wonderful revenge on the ladies with wings. After that, the deadly vapors spell finished off the stoned dragon. I had nowhere to run. I was in a cul-de-sac of death. I was very lucky.
Earlier on in the game something told me not to mess with Erathmedor.
Oh yea, I'm going to break my promise. I'll make it up to you somehow. Before I re-set the game Torin kept asking me if I had found out anything more about his long dead dad. This is after I fully completed the boogre caves. He would not take his dad's ring. I bought everything from him to clear out the inventory and that didn't seem to work either. Glitch? Should I put him quietly out of his misery?
There also seems to be quite a few strange random items that I cant seem to interact with. Ale kegs, The ancient golden urn in F'lokis Ra's tomb, the stupid rat scull, the fountain in Hephestus's little abode...etc.....what's the deal?
Sorry so long of a note. This game is great..can't stop playing...thank god for caffiene!
Thank you once again!

Those random items are what some of us refer to as 'left overs'. They were probably part of thre original game design....But were left un-finished...when the game was rushed for release..(me tinks the 'Rat Skull'...was supposed to be used for the warlock quest, they just changed it to any skull, to make it easier)..One of my favorites ..is a wing switch, in Skull Castle. They changed the text to read...'Wing switch isn't working'.

IMHO...the 'Belfrey' is also a left over. (there's one wall, up there, that looks like it was going to be an elevator)

There is also an open field..I found near Valeia. (it's SE of Bilbumps hovel and N of Gorthius) The only way to get there is to use 'Vanish' or 'Tree Surf'. It's just a big square field of grass...2 sides are tree lined and 2....are the 'Edge of the world'...Stars above..and..Stars below (thats right...the Geal Serran is Flat)....It even spawns monsters.

It makes you wonder...how much different the game would have been, if they had finished the original design.... Closure for Torin, magical urns, penalties for breaking the 'Mavin Oath' and Drunken adventurers.....

Okay, Hunter D, I'm still a bit impressed, but less concerned about your game.

There are a couple of apparent red dragons that are wandering monsters. The only "scheduled" ones are Erathsmedor and the... temple guardians in the pyramid at the end. All others are bonuses.

And as for the game, there's lots of stuff you might interact with but can't. All I can say is I've found it just as frustrating to be standing in front of a newly discovered cask of ale, empty bottle in hand, and be unable to either tap into it or break it open. It's enough to make you drink water (without hops, that is).

You should have seen how much time I wasted trying to fill up ANYTHING with ale so I could get into the mines! Finding the damn writ was tedious at best!

That area is VERY cool. Thanx for the tip!
Hey, anyone hear anything about a potential WWII? They should seriously consider it. Look how many people love this game. I couln'd belive how many people are still into this game. It came out quite a few years ago? (as far as games go)
Speaking of old games......anyone ever play Dungeon Master? My friend and I had a copy, never beat the damn thing, and then he moved. During the move he lost the game and we can't find a copy of it anywhere. grrrrr.... >:{
