Help please! How do I access the restricted portions of the first,second and third levels. Am currently at the 4th level.

There are some peculiar looking devices that resemble something like metal baskets (very loosely I might add). If you run your cursor over them, you'll get the transition wheel - the one you see when you move to a new area - that is because those "baskets" are lifts or elevators that will take you down to access the area you need. From there, you should be able to access the rest via the stairs or ramps that should be visible.
It's a little difficult to explain, but once you've had a look you'll know what I mean. BTW Welcome to the boards.

Thanks. Found grid on third level and dealt with skeletons etc but still can't find accesses to first and second levels.

When in doubt, hold down the "alt" key as you move around. If memory serves, I believe that doors and stairs appear w/ a red border.
