Hmm about 100 I think. All sorted in different folders, like forums, games etc. It´s working for me.

About 100 for me, too. I follow TheCrimsomBlade's method of sorting by folder. I have 10-15 folders and only about 5 direct links at the bottom of the list.

i have 253 files in my section of the favorites alone. without opening any folders (not even the one with my favorites in it) it takes 2 seconds to get to the bottom of the list. i timed it (hey i'm ill, i don't have anything better to do). i've timed it after opening my favorites folder. it takes 9 seconds to scroll down. thats alot of icons.

I have maybe four pages of Favourites, and over a dozen folders. Many of those folders have 2+ pages in them. I don't feel like counting them right now.

Ummmmm...I dont know whether to be embarassed or proud. I'm not actually at *my* computer now, but I do remember, last time I checked, that there were close to 1000 links. I've had the same favorites folder ever since my first puter(which ran Windows 95). I just keep migrating it whenever I upgrade the OS. I organize them into folders and sub-folders(sometimes 6 or 7 layers deep)...I know, I know...I'm anal. But, when I want to find something, I can *always* find it.

I also have a work related favorites folder that I used when I was a tech support agent at HP. It was a project I worked on with some people, trying to make it easier to find info quickly in our online help database...it was at nearly 3000 links, categorized and cross referenced, usually several layers deep as well(this is why I do the same with my home Favorites...makes it easier to find(for me anyway)). It was HUGE, but it sure made the job easier. LOL...At one point, the project got officially cancelled. They(management) said that it wasn't worth the manpower, which was crap, it *SAVED* time when people were tyring to look up answers with *their* crap search tool. I ended up keeping the faves folder on a floppy and took it with me every time I changed teams. LOL...And, every time, I would have to pass the disk around to my team and everyone'd use it anyway...it made our lives easier and we were more productive...Management just thought it was them, I'm sure.

Anyway...Cloudy says that I'm a 'puter packrat'...I just tell her, when I find some obscure site/file/reference that I thought was lost and that I would never find again, that sometime it pays to be a packrat.

I'm not even going to count mine. I have 10 submaps; Games, Roleplaying, Web Art, Forum, Ironworks (with links to each of the IW: Boards), Personal, School, Search Engines and Humor.
Cleaned them out a while ago.. too many dead links.

I have maybe a hundred on my list now, but as I was just saying last night, I need to clean house! I hate keeping things there that no longer link to active sites or are of no use to me now.

Psst..Nacht, you should be skulking about with a hat over your face! That's so many links you cannot POSSIBLY know they all still work today and I can't imagine you USE all of them regularly!

I just figure if I haven't needed it or wanted to to to in in a few months, I can probably do away with it. Besides, if it is something I have to look up later, there are bound to be more or newer sites relating to the topic then.

Um - Some Sang stuff, r.g.r.a, APWB, some BG2 stuff, translation site.

About a dozen links. I never bookmark anything with an easy URL, and the sites without an easy URL that are worth favoriting are few and far between.

How odd. I was only thinking about this this evening. I have a new "favourite site" that I have to scroll down to get to. was trying to figure how to place it near the top...then this thread!!

I'm amazed, it's funny how things work out sometimes.
