Umm... that's what I said. Use AVG, or if you have the money, use NOD.

So, NOD is a bit better? And are these free for a limited time only?

I have removed Norton and starting to install these. I hope there's no particular order recommended.

I have none of those problems with ZA. Are you using a *ahem* legal copy?

Added plusses: it shows your ip address in the firewall, together with your network address. It also (and this is VERY handy!) shows all your active programs and what ports they use and where they are connecting to, together with a short description(if known) of what the program does with it's connection. Very user friendly.
ZA does all this as well. ZApro also allows you to set specific rules for each foreign IP and to declare trusted zones.

I got this message when running Zone Alarm that it might affect something with Adaware. Does anybody know anything about this?

Is there also something free out there that works like defrag or something, or is Windows good enough?

Sorry... I thought you meant you could use AVG instead of NOD if you had the money, implying that AVG cost and NOD didn't. My bad.

I have gotten that message, I believe. It hasn't caused me any problems.

I'll post this new since it may be missed on my edit:

Contig is a great defrager as it allows you to defrag single files (great for games and videos)

You can also download the Power Defragmenter GUI interface to make Contig Eaiser to use.

I downloaded it, went to run it and nothing seemed to happen? I could do it again. Maybe it was too fast, but where is it?
