I wanted to get other players opinions on how best to advance my charactors. This forum is so big that I haven't found that yet but I have found a lot of interesting ideas.

Kev,

If you're looking for that kind of info, check out the best tips thread. I'll go give it a bump if it's been buried a bit... more stuff than you can imagine about how to live the easy life in the Gael Serran.

And let me be the first to welcome you to the boards!

I came here when W&W first came out to find information about the game so that I could determine if I was going to buy it. I bought it but never played it. Now, I finally have a chance to play it and am enjoying the game.

I think the first time I posted here was a while back (before I corrupted my hard drive and lost my W&W saved games, ahhh!) and couldn't get into the crypt. Of course, I was the nth victim of this problem.

I found the Ironworks site while surfing to find good sites dealing with CRPG's and this was the only good one dealing with W&W (and still the only good one).

Youpi !! I'm not the only short-sighted Elite Waterdeep Guard who can't figure out how to enter the crypt (damned lever that I didn't see) : thks to Viper Venom who makes me feel better (less stupid, I mean). And to add with my problem, I couldn't find any Website dedicated to W&W on the European web. There are several ones for M&M, Icewind and of course Baldur, and so on, but none for W&W ... so, here I am !!
In fact, I'm rather a kind of new player : I discovered RPG gaming with M&M and Baldur's Gate. I had never play before so my sons are always shaking with laughter when they look at me playing : I'm stuck all the time. I'm definitely not a great player, but no matter : I do love playing.

i came because i was having trouble early on in the game(getting into the crypt the crypt toad and a few other thing i forget) and decided to read the manual over again it had a site listed on the last page of it (www.activision.com) so i went there did a search(took a few) found W&W as one of the games, it basicly said what the manual said but it had links as a place to go so i went there and i tried a few of the links but then saw Iron works W&W site so i went there i looked around read the crypt walk through, it didn't tell me how to get in so i found this place and signed up and asked with in 10 i had 10 replies and help with other things in hard parts of the crypt so i decided this was my new site!
