Eh... if by game engine, wait for IWD2 to come out. If by gameplay, go for NWN.

IMHO, NWN is way too short, and definately too easy even on the hardest diffculty.

i just got torment and even though i just started i already love it. there aren't alot of npcs but the ones there are are awesome. morte is the funniest npc ever(followed closely by minsc) Annah is awesome(the only thief) and you get a gith fighter/mage with gith specific spells.

Morrowvind is WAY long and WAY difficult but quite good...

If U want something in style like BG2ToB get IWD2 or for a more 3d experience IŽd get NWN

Like Spawkie says the world will never be the same when Bg is no more

Som en gammel rotte kan jeg jo kun sige at Danmark styrer for VILDT

I played Planescape:Torment before ever seeing the BG series. And I may say that it is a bit lamerish as compared to original BG. The rules are way simplified, and that feature of giving a new stat each level makes the game WAY too easy. So easy that a lvl 6 mage completed it solo!! But from the gameplay point of view it is very interesting, I also loved the world of Planescape and enjoed it. What a pity that they do not give an opportunity to wander around a bit after completing the game?? I had plenty of quests not completed yet...
