MM8 was pathetic, IMO, but some people have really liked it, so don't take my word for it alone...if you already have the game, play it and if you don't like it, well no problem!

but not that great on PC
played in Basic and char.. on got so high!!

Just the various mentions of people making maps for these older games that did not have automapping made me think that it would be so interesting to be able to go to a computer game map convention and just look at what others made! Some of my maps were quite beautiful - others just served their purpose (like the ascii (ascii!!! ) maps I did for my Wiz 6 walkthru! LOL!! I bet there are some real beauties out there!

In later years, I made all my maps in Excel. Setting column width to 1.4 makes excellent "virtual" graph paper. Very easy to color-code as well!

Just thought I'd let you know I finished M&M 8 yesterday and had a lot of fun doing it. I guess a lot of people didn't like the game, but it was enjoyable if not MOTS*.

I've played 'em all...1-8 and even the special Swords of Xeen add-on for 4-5. Anybody remember that one? I liked 3, 5 and 6 the best.
