IT just started again today , and I'm in 8th grade. Now I've got some major problems. My teachers suck, my Social Studies is the only one interesting. My bus is really cramped with 6 graders, all my friends are split up, and we can only talk to each other at lunch. Its like a nightmare come true. And to top it off, I just got Warcraft 3 which is really addictive, and its really hard to focus on homework while your dreaming of your level 8 BladeMaster kicking some ghoul ass.

lol, I was the same all through Highschool. When my friends and I were split up I went to talk to the principle about it and she worked everything out. We were in the same classes (well most of them) for the rest of my highschool years

Dude,

After a couple of years of working and paying bills you'll wish you were back in school again. Life is easy in school. Enjoy it!

I sympathise with you, SecretMaster, but bear with it. We all have to go through this. Remember, Warcraft 3 and the thread "The Stone Continues" may be fun, but your schoolwork is more important.

Come, SecretMaster, be a true paladin! Pull yourself together and bear this trial with courage!

I hated 8th grade, too, SecretMaster. High school is a bit better; I remember enjoying it a lot more. I'm not sure why 8th grade bites so much, but it does.

The weekend comes quickly. Tend to your studies during the week, and Warcraft will be waiting for you this weekend as a reward for all the hard work you've put in.

Oh, and give your teachers a chance. They may surprise you.

Cheers, and best wishes,
-Sazerac

I agree with Saz, SecretMaster and be happy you dont need to pay any bills and work day and night to could pay them!! And i agree War III IS a grat game and it is big so you have many good houers in front of you to play it.
So do it good in school you will not regret it later when you be older.

Dude, its all part of living. If you think thats bad..
Well personally those things seem petty in comparison with what a lot of other people have to deal with, but yeah it does bite and I feel your pain. Life is a game of compromise dude. When I got into 9th grade me and my friends were all scattered into different classes. Even now in school I dont have a single class with my roommates. Live with it and make new friends! Lousy teachers? Give them a chance dude, a term at least. You never know what you can get out of a class if you keep an open mind. Teachers arent all as unreasonable as they seem. Talk to them, get friendly with them. Teachers are people too, and establishing a relationship might help in relieving boredom and tension, and you'll find yourself enjoying the class a lot more. Try it out! But man, a bus full of 6th graders? Damn dude, now THATs a problem.

Oh and Saz, its psychologically proven that kids generally have the lowest self-esteem in their lives around the ages 12-14, which covers 6th to 8th grade. Has to do with a changing school environment, adolesence and puberty, and generally everything that has to do with a new school and growing up and wanting to be accepted. Thats the point in their lives when they're the most insecure about themselves and the world around them, so its only natural that most people remember those years as some of the hardest in their lives.

What age group is in 8th Grade? In Australia if you're in year 8 (or "8th Grade") you would be 13 or 14. What about in the USA?

YUCK YUCK YUCK WWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHY did I EVER want to go back to school? 1,000 word english coursewrok, riginal writing, history coursework, physics, and HWK FOR EVERY SUBJECT!
PLUS the school bullies are back with a vengeance though i did tell one townie to go feel up his grandmother...he deserved it.
Not to be outdone, the school bitch is moved down into my maths set where she just sits and moths everyone off, I didn't have my re-write of English Coursework, two of my friends have sodded off to germany on an exchange trip, my teachers all think I'm a slacker or retard or possibly both and my chemistry teacher gave me a cold! I came back on Tuesday, go figure....
Oh, and a year 7 told me to shut up. A year 7. That's just embarrasing.
