I just finished this area, but I have a couple questions.
1. Do I only need one suit of plate mail? After all, I have six characters. 2. I killed Raskalion (Scanthril's quest) and plundered the vault. What do I do with the gold bars? In town, their sell value seems to be much lower than their real value. |

Cool! It's always fun to finish a dungeon...
Only the lead character will need the Dragon plate where that's needed. They're the only one who gets affected by... it. I don't want to spoil too much here. If you do have multiple sets of plate mail, feel free to use them. Anyone can wear it, including those characters who can't wear plate. That's a nice AC boost, let me tell you... As for Raskalion, as long as you got the quest first, go back to Scanthril to get your reward. You may be getting confused by the numbers on the bars -- 12k, 18k, and so on refer to the quality of the gold, not the value. IOW, "k" refers to "karats", not "kilos" or thousands. So... what's next?

Thanks. The gold's heavy, so it's good to know I can just dump it.
I think my next step is the Boogre Prison. I always get nervous going to places I haven't been specifically sent to, though. |

But you should have been sent there... the Wizards' Guild, Thieves' Guild, Warriors' Guild, and Bushi Dojo all have quests in there.
One hint: don't go after someone has just changed classes. Level them up to seven or eight first, or else you might get a bit frustrated at the lost training opportunities. Once you're in there, you're in until the end.

The Dragon Plate Mail: you don't need it at all You can pass with the Vanish spell. The "regular" way: Bungleau is right, you need only one mail - the current "leader" must equip it.
Gold Bars: keep only 24k and 18k bars. Throw the rest away, it is not worth of your inventory room.

If you have a character with a high pickpocket skill you can steal the dragon ore from the king and give it to him again. That way you can make an endless amount of dragon armour. Good for wearing. Good for selling.

The Den was able to pickpocket the ore from the king at skill level 4. So it doesn't have to be that high... just make sure to save early and often, in case you get caught and he gets angry. Didn't happen to the Den, but it could...
And I've not tried to vanish past the beast, Radek. Another good idea from you But a question... when you go there without the dragon armor, there's something else that keeps you back. Does it disappear after you've deactivated the bronze beast?

I just wanted to add that I finished the Boogre prison. Definitely the best level in the game yet. One minor problem with this game is that many of the dungeons are kind of empty. But not this one. The Boogres are great fun just to talk to. I felt a little bad killing them, but oh well.
