What a great console! Just bought it yesterday, and after sitting hours with playing "Super Monkey Ball" (great game, btw), I have made the conclusion that GameCube is a faboulus console. I especially like the good graphics, and it's litle size.
I think it's the best of the three competing consoles (Xbox, GameCube and PS2), as I have played all three of them. But then again, nothing, not even GC, beats the computer. So, what do you guys think of GC, and the two other consoles? |

here's my opinon on the best system to worst of this new 128 bit generation and some of the reasons why:
X-box - Expandability, Hardware, Lovely controller GameCube - Size, Originality, The Games Sega Dreamcast -VMUs, Online Play, Great Games PS2 - DVD Playback, Lack of Anti-Alaising is slightly dissapointing... Each has a strenghte and a weakness, I got the X-box as a compliment to the Dreamcast, because so many dreamcast sequels were comming out for the X-box: "Tekki" "Capcom Vs SNK3" "Shenmue 2-16" "DeadOrAlive" "Gun Valkyrie" "JetSetRadio Future" "Crazy Wings -Online Dogfighting with voice chat" "BattleTech's Mech Cruisade" "Phantasy Star Online Episode 3" and Being a BUNGIE fan... I would also have to say "HALO"... |

Go one a couple of days ago and it's brilliant! I got Wave-race,Sonic adventure2battle and Luigi's mansion and they are all great. Sonic's the best so far though.
I prefer it to the PS2 but the x-box is the only real competitor against Nintendo now. |

And yeah, I agree that Luigi's Mansion is great. I played this with my friend, and we both enjoyed it very much. It's especially fun to kill ghosts with a vacuum cleaner... And Xbox is also a great console, IMO. It as great graphics, 300 million micropolygons per second, while GameCube has only 6-12 mills... But GameCube is better, IMO, because of all the cool games, the little size, and the loooooooovely controllers. |

Gamecube is pretty cool, and I respect Nintendo for everything that they have done for gaming. I do agree that without Nintendo there would be no Playstation, etc. But for me, Nintendo still strikes me as a "kid's" system. No offense is meant by that, but it just seems to me that it is still geared towards the younger crowd (although they have been updating that image in recent years). I prefer the more adult-oriented games (most of the time), so for me PS2 is the system to own. As for XBox, I just don't like it. Yeah it has 2 good games, but that's not enough for me. PS2, being backwards-compatible has a huge library of games and while some are stinkers, 99% of the games I want are on this system.
