You express thr frustrations of many of us, Wolfgir! Getting straight answers from politicians is impossible, though. 'Vested interests' is behind much of the misleading hype (and even truth sometimes). Getting stone cold facts is a virtual impossiblility.
And some who call themselves 'environmetalists' go WAAY over the top! Understandable, though. When you get nothing but soothing pap from 'those who know', and you can actually SEE damage being done, what recourse do people have but protest? And protest ignored leads inevitably to violence and unreason...

Yeah well, most things seems impossible, but there has to be a way to make it work, or we can just go back to having our own farms and small communities that don´t trade with others far away.. Lets see how the big corporate world likes that

No workers, no money, no money no corporate.. no land no life..

Loose loose situation, seems we have to make the least worst out of every situation as usual..

You cannot excuse the actions of one group of people, b/c of the actions of another. Some 'environmentalists' go way over the top, because they choose too, and NO it is not understandable. Just because one group (politians) deceive the public and 'behave' poorly, that does not give the right to another group to do the same.

Wolfgir's point is well said: we need more information and action from the 'middle' and less from the extremes!

I agree, Moridin. I was not excusing 'over the top' action, only saying it is understandable. Two wrongs do NOT make a right, obviously. But surely you have yourself been in at least ONE situation in your life when you have overreacted from pure frustration? I know I have. Therefore I understand.

And yes - SOME people quite deliberately involve themselves in peaceful protests for the sole purpose of causing trouble. I do not believe these people are anything but thugs, and genuine protesters would prefer them NOT to involve themselves. For example, so-called 'animal rights' activists who put razor wire in the way of horses engaged in fox hunts are thugs, not animal rights activists. What do they care about the poor horses? Animal right activists? No way! Criminals is all they are.

But even the most peaceful and legit protester can sometimes get into a frustrated rage. We all can - and usually for much less reason!

Thank you Yorick! My brain feels as though it's had a serious workout over the past few days.... Today brain is feeling tired, sort of heavy and lack lustre.... I think it's trying to tell me it's bed time. Ok, ok, I'm going.....

I misread the topic I was going to say that CATS taste like chicken and aren't bad fried. Then I started reading some of the posts. Personally I was rooting for Termal-nuclear war in the 70's, then I rooted for the Y2K bug, I guess the only hope for mankind is alien invasion.
Seriously, globalization is a logical progression ie; we started off as family groups, next was villages, then cities , countries, next the world.

Oh wait that is my plan for domination.

Equally seriously, after we've used up the world's resources and turned what's left of it into a dustbin, what is your suggestion for our next step? Our neighbouring planets would be needing a lot of work before they were ready to move into frankly my dear, we just don't have the technology...... As for your alien invasion - I think any truly 'civilised' aliens would probably be quietly waiting to see if we can sort out our internal problems before inviting us to join the rest of the universe (collectively, we're currently too paraniod, agressive, 'shoot them before they shoot us'.) Would you let humankind loose upon the universe in its present state? I would not!! We'd have blown any part of it we didn't like the looks of into bits before you could say 'son of star wars', not to mention turning the rest into a dustbin...

Is that too serious an answer for a jokey post? Ah, but you did preface that one sentence with the word 'seriously'...... So tough!!
