I feel sorry for you Stormy. In the end I'm just glad that she died after all; the vet said that if she had survived the accident she would have suffered severe brain damage. Nevertheless, it was one of the few moments in my life where I cried.

Thats quite a sad story Stormy, im sorry to hear it.
I suppose that im lucky that ive never had to put down a pet, the last three dogs that our family have had have gone off to become Police dogs when we couldnt keep them, but now we have settled down and have a Labrador named Ellie.

I`ve heard that Labarador`s are the most "hungry" dogs and that they will eat anything. Is this true?

Well, a dog will eat anything that smells tasty to them. They even eat grass when they're sick (makes them throw up)

Hi ladies and gents. Just stopping by to say, well ermm, hi. So where've I been. Well not that you really care but I've been on 6 weeks vacation! Yay! And now? I'm currently in Bethesda, MD, way down south, sitting at NIH and having some "fun" in the clinical center. I'll be going back home in a couple of days bringing some doctors from here to visit our facilities (which of course are much better ). So see you in a couple of days. I jus tmight stop by again on some other breaks. Hugs to you all.

Well, lets jusy say, we dont leave anything we really care about in the back yard...
Whenever I go outside, she has some sort of object in her nmouth ready to run away from me so I will play with her, though, the objects are usually something important like part of a wshing basket or a golf ball.

Ours is pretty hungry, but he's only 7 months old. I don't think any one breed is hungrier than the next; it all depends on size, growing stage, and activity level.

Hmm, welll since we're on the topic, I had a boxer about 8 years ago (she was mine...we always have boxers here ). My dad gave her some wormer unaware that it was only for horses...she was fine for a few hours, then she started having seizures. They took her to the vet *after* that (as soon as my dad had given her the wormer I said "Isn't that for horses only?" And my dad said "oops"...big help!) and got her stomach pumped, but obviously it had already gotten into the rest of her system. They put her down...she was only about 3 years old
