No pun intended on his name, really. This name really gets around, its one for the folklore book. I mean, its not like we don't already have enough Nikodemuses in the world.
1. Ye Nikodemus from the Fighting Fantasy world. (Lives in Port Blacksand - City of Thieves for instance. 2. The Absent minded mage from Ultima VII: The Black Gate. 3. Phantasie III: The Wrath of Nikademus (yep, another old game!) 4. Ol' Niko the Biblical figure. I'm probably forgetting heaps more - send in some more! Next question - Is the character in Icewind Dale II worthy of such an illustrious name do you think? Too early for me to judge yet as I haven't been called on to his 'favour' yet. So time shall tell for him. But my paranoid party had to resist the temptation to orchestrate his death whilst he was sleeping, before our first meeting and even after we had met, we are not yet convinced in his motives, wondering if again, we are to be manipulated into an even thicker web of deceit. I think he deserves such a name, for both his abilities(forging the temple within a day) and aspirations(soon to come). And the poor soul is tornmented as you0ve killed his loved one, sobb

Bah, I feel no pity for Oria!
He is mentioned too often and too cheesily as being 'the ex-lover' as well. It was almost in poor taste to have this knowledge and have it repeated. His temple forging is definitely his main redeeming achievement that would deserve such a name. (at least so far for me...) On a similar note, I liked the parlay that one can have with one of the other sisters (Lysara I think) where you almost penetrate the facade of austere Aurilite faith. It was one of the better role play moments so far. Does the game break down if you try to murder ol' Nick? Something tells me it would...

Yep, you'll have to load. So don't kill him. I made that mistake once or twice, while thieving, hehe.
