Yes you do. You don't have to be level 14 to do the trademeet quests, but you do to challenge for control of the grove.

That is actually a very stupid thing.
Cause when you have reached lvl. 14, you are closing the end of the game, and have no need of a stronghold.

I agree that you don't really NEED a stronghold at this point....but its still worth it to go ahead and get it, just because of the side quests (and consequent XP) that you get having the stronghold...past these side quests, though, the druid stronghold is pretty useless as a lair by this point in the game.

Considering there is absolutely no where to store equipment in it other than just on the floor, it is pointless at most times in the game.

Really, really, bad stronghold IMO.
