unseeing eye cult/ manifestation

I have accepted the unseeing eye cult quest eary in the game. I have not given shadow thieves my $15000. How do I defeat the empathetic manaifestation thing to get the half of the rift thing? also, keldorn is seen as an 'enemy' how do i reverse his state.

But that is the secret. Cast a healing spell on the empathic manifestation.

I have no idea why Keldorn is seen as an enemy. Did you accidently hurt him during some particular battle? If not, just kill him. I didn't find him particularly useful. Well, don't kill him if you lose your player status.

It made sense to me to heal it. It helped that I talked to everybody around the place first, though. One of the kids practically tells you that trying to beat it up won't work. Besides, empathic... feeling other's emotions... feeds off hate, so must be killed by... love. Hmm. Well, might as well try healing it. Wow, that was really easy. Yay!
