What is the deal with the Demi-Lich in lvl 4 WK?

Does he automatically get an imprisonment? After
taking a potion of magic shielding, my PC has magic
resistence of 105% and automatic saving throws but
the Lich imprisons him EVERY time.

Bug alert - the magic resistences of both the Ring of
Gaxx and Balduran's Cloak CONSTANTLY become unequipped.

Use Minsc's or Korgan's berzerk to make them immune to imprisoment.
if pc is a berzerker allready BERZERKER STRENGTH!

Thanks, but I don't have either of them this go around.

I just decided to use my last protection against magic
scroll and whomp him. Still, it kind of irks me that
magical resistence is useless.

Hmmm...I have a sneaking suspicion that you are playing a Paladin who is using Carsomyr as their main weapon. If that is the case, then that explains why the Ring of Gaxx and Cloak appear to not work.

Carsomyr *sets* your MR to 50% each time you equip it. If you want your MR bonuses to stack properly, you need to equip Carsomyr, then re-equip the Ring of Gaxx, re-equip the Cloak of Balduran, and re-equip anything else that grants MR. Once you do that, everything should add up correctly. Hope that helps!

In the future, you can also cast Protection from Magic and choose the Abjuration school. As Imprisonment is an Abjuration spell, it will fail on you.

hey, it is mega cheesy, but not against the rules to use a scroll of protect from undead. its so easy youll cry. SPOIL;

Ahh... I hate demiliches. They're imprisonment tracks you. The easiest way to deal with a demi liches is to have a two mages cast breach and ruby ray of reversal on it, at the same time. Then your cleric, (Or someone with the daystar can bust it up with a sunray.) If you don't have two mages then use spell trigger. They've only got 50 hp, and if you time it right it always works!

Just if you don't know how to battle against demi-lichs, look at the SoA-Forum, there are many questions how to beat Kangaxx. If you don't know how to beat such an enemy it is the worst monster you can get, but take a look at the hints!!!!!!

There is always SLAYER ... to avoid imprisonment
not sure tho i am still in SoA and decided to try the dungeon WK, i have yet to even kill the second Bodhi, so i am not sure if you who have killed irenicus still HAVE Slayer form or what- but it is an option for some. May be cheesy, sure, but it's how i killed Gax with my druid level 14 hehehehe
