How the heck do I get out of Skull Castle?

I need to get back out of skull castle. I managed to get back to the room where the spectral knights say you are welcome but the gate out is locked and I can't find a switch on my side of the room. Is there one and if there is where is it? How can I get out?

You can´t get out that way. You need to take another way around... That road is pretty arous so I suggest checking Xignal´s walkthrus for detailed directions. I think those are in there [img]smile.gif[/img] You can find the walkthrus here.

I've been all the way through the walk through. I just tells you that once you have the staff you are through. It says absolutely nothing about how to exit the place.

It doesn´t? Let´s see if I can remember... When you enter the first room, before going through the grate, there is an exit to your right. That´s the way to get back out! I think you get there from the spiral stairs and then by taking the some stairs to the right of the room you come to from the spiral stairs. Did this make any sense to you at all? I´ll try to play through otherwise to see if I can give you detailed directions.

IIRC, you cannot get out this way, Willow. The only way out is through the water channels:
1. Jump in the water pool and save the game. There are 4 "one way" exits from the pool.
2. Try the exits (try, reload, try, reload, ...) and search for the exit where you meet "manbeasts" immediately after leaving the water channel. Sorry, I can't remember exactly which exit it is. You will find a lever that opens a grate, which allows you to enter the area before the ... eh ... fill an appropriate word here grate that has locked behind you.
Next time, create a portal near the exit from the castle. You can teleport to your portal from anywhere in the castle, doors or not.

Radek is right on (as usuall)...all the waterways lead out, it's just a matter of how long it takes...

Funny thing is...I was always aggravated by the fact that I always ended up ...outside the gate...

I think Radek is right & I think that if you take the right hand channel you come out at the manbeast maze.
Go left 1st to find the key, I forget what it is, then go right to find the elevator out.

yea, u won't be able to go back through the grate which u go through n saw the "welcoming" spectral knights. after u go through it it closes behind u n u have no other choice but 2 carry on.........n gd luck 2 u!!!!!!

Ooohkie Doohkie....

I just reloaded an old save and went back to 'Skull Castle'...

Jump off the bridge and take the passage on the left..take the next left also. This will lead to 'Adrianna's' chamber. Go through the room (even if Her and the girls are still alive) and out the back door. When you come out of the water you will be at 'The Sistern'. Use the small map and face south....now head East (left). You'll see a table with an ale keg and a barrel on it. (or a broken barrel if you already broke it) To the East of that, there is a staircase, follow that all the way up and you'll be on the other side of the gate.

One thing to note....If you have not killed all the 'nasties' in the castle.....there might be a bunch of 'Plague Skeletons' waiting for you at the top of the stairs...You can just run through them and out to the front door.
