my uber custom made comp huh?

uhh gainward graphix gforce 4 650 xp golden sample ti4200 128 ddr memory
uhh 60 gigs 7200 rpm
uhh 1800 althon xp
uhh win xp
all drivers up to date atm...
uhhh 512 memory ddr... thats about it

also the problem is that i cant target the gate to open it...

that and that gamespot wont let me download their patch =( any of ye know how to load it onto an email so i can use it? the gold cheat works with it btw, ye just delete the char after it gives ye the gold, so it takes a few more min to git the gold.

ermm i think i should git a better processor, lol one of them athlon 2200s sound nice huh?

what is dx?
ermm direct x? the 3d thing? i think i have 8.0 or 9.0 not sure

The latest offical release of DirectX is 8.1, if you've got 9.0...it's a Beta version...and that could well be the problem. To find out..(I'm not sure if this works the same way in Win XP)....click --> START --> RUN and then type in --> dxdiag ....and click --> OK. It should be on the first page, near the bottom. If you Do have 9.0, you should downgrade. (there are directions in the New Tech thread)

As for the patch...I just found out that it's available at here, at IronWorks...(I never patched my game..so..I didn't know where they were).....The Patch

It works Packrat...and the info is at the bottom of the first page. There is a slightly easier way to do the virtial dub fix.

Instead of renaming the files simply save the new "old" format files to your desktop. The names remain the same and make it much easier to replace the broken ones. After saving the old format files to the desktop, select all three of them, copy them, then open the explorer (or my computer, same dif), surf to WW directory and then to the townavi folder and paste the files into it. Click on yes to overwrite the files and you are done...no need to rename them.

I was afraid that the only thing I was going to learn today was....where they keep the WW patch.

BTW....how are liking that new card...(now that it's 12 days old)....I do hope you're still enjoying it...

oh there's a simpler way to remember those zenmasters, juz remember that they are like warlocks-they learn every spell book u r currently learning without any penalty. but i dun know whether it will open up new books.......for example, if a character does not have vine magic, i'm not sure whether being a zenmaster would open it up.........
u'll have to figure it out on ur own...............
