Hi, I've got a problem. I got 4 statues in the serpent temple, plus a snake statue, and when I went to use them in the library, one of my statues was missing. I've looked in all the spots where I originally found them but they are not there anymore. Is there any way out of this? Has anyone else had this problem? Where would it have gone??? HELP!!!!!!

Have you used your Spirit Eye spell to look for it (as a white dot on your map)?
Have you checked ALL your other characters inventories?
I think this is a new one on us!

Yes, have used spirit eye and have also checked all characters inventories. Can't find it. I know I had them. Only 4 right. 2 in treasure chests, 1 from monkey and 1 in underwater cavern. I'm at a loss. I don't have a previous save so do I have to start the whole game over??? Woe is me!

If Wyvern is around, she can probably "hack" you a statuette...

Actually, though, there's a way to get up to the Wizard's Study without using the statues. It has to do with stacking crates.

Wait! There's 3 in chests and one from the monkey. The Serpent Idol is from the underwater cavern.

This is where the Monkey statues are:

1) In the chest in the room behind the gate, not far from the rear entrance (on the way to Kreug's office)

2) In the chest at the top of the storage area, off of the kitchen.

3) In the chest in the 2nd room from the right in the Coin Slot puzzle rooms

4) From the decathelon monkey.

Make sure you've checked this out before you give up.

Thank you so very very much. Yes Sazerac you were correct. I did miss the statue in the kitchen area. I think I might have given up - thinking that I already had that 4th statue (could a' been the whiskey, might a' been the gin, could a' been.....) if it wasn't for this forum. It's fantastic.
Thanks again. I'm sure you will be hearing from me again.

Hurrah, Myrrdyn! I'm so glad it worked out! And now I know it pays to read these posts VERY carefully! I might have missed that little detail, but something made it stick in my mind.

Great going! Good luck to you.

In one of my games the Masque of Evil got stolen while fighting highland raiders in the castle moat. I had Spirit Eye going, so I noticed, but at that stage of the game I usually don't check for loot after killing raiders because they give lousy loot. I would have been running in circles had I missed out on that one .......
