What is that project about?
Wll the best way to find out is to go there and talk with the people. But mainly it is to keep a friendly environment for people to start MP games over the net and have people to play with and exchange ideas, mods, maps and experinces.

Here it is:
http://www.xsorbit2.com/users/velkyn/index.cgi

It is not a place competing with IW, but solemly to find players for NWN.
I generally hate these pyrtamids of quotations but...
Katherine, definitelygo over and sign on. Tell 'em that I recommended you. Talk to Velkyn (Dreamer)

Interesting site. Thanks for the link. The best project I've seen so far is A Land Far Away. I'm a member there and at one other PW. Their emphasis is on role play. They are recreating the world of Toril on over a hundred different servers. It's really a great group with a lot of talent at the steering wheel.

I think people are going to have a lot of really neat projects going on once the game has been out for a while.

Looks nice, but it feels a bit large and unpersonal. We are a small group by choice.

Are you a member of that forum, too?

Yeah, it's big. There will be a good player/DM ratio, though. We'll see how it plays out. I think it will be very good. The other group I am a part of is much smaller and I have high hopes for some great interaction with the DMs.

With a big (quality) player base, you can have a lot of diversity where the world takes on a life of its own. You might also be left feeling like you are ignored by the DMs, though. In a smaller group, there's more intimacy, but less variation of player style. I think both situations have positive and negative aspects.
