Still, considering that most swords in the middle ages were very dull. Its about the same I imagine. The only good thing about a sword was it could pierce something. Hacking always ended up more like a clubbing.

Wait a sec--aren't those the wrong runes on Glamdring?
The sword was forged in Gondolin, by Elves, in the First Age. If I recall correctly, any script on such a weapon would have been in the Feanorean letters, such as those on the One Ring--but the engraving on the hilt of this Glamdring uses the runes more commonly used by Dwarves and Men. Is this right?

All the swords are magnificent but they are a bit expensive
 ! I always wanted to start a sword collection but I never had the money to buy the swords I wanted and my dad never let me  .
