His name is Lahl, and he was about everywhere at once in the carnival and in 2 houses in nashkel!

I dont recall any 'Lahl' at the carnival, although I didnt stay longer than it took to pick up Branwen and give that rip-off merchant the finger.

Near Infinitying BGTrilogy reveals a rather large number of 'Lahl' characters - are you running BGT or regular BG1? Might be a bug.

There should be a lot of Lahls around, yes. I always thought it was a 'class' like commoner and Merchant.

aahh, ok then. just started to bug me when i kept running into about ten lahl's in the carnival and two in nashkel...

im running bgt, btw. man this is good! the main reason i didnt play bg1 anymore was because the slowness was so frusturating(and i always got killed when i started managing my inventory and it always unpaused it).

I'm pretty sure this excessive Lahl-problem happens in the original BG1 (or at least the one with Tales of the Sword Coast installed, as far as I know) as well.

Really? I've checked a few dictionaries and did some searches on the Internet, and didn't find anything that might suggest that 'lahl' is some sort of class. The only Lahl's I was able to find on the Internet were simply name-related.
Either it's a rather obscure 'class' (reference-wise) or it was actually meant to be a name and it's just a bug in the game.

I think bioware cut&pasted a .CRE that they really shoudln't have, and one of the 'commoner' .CREs ended up as the 'lahl' .cre .

Yes, I know it's not in any dictionary. It's just what I'd always assumed.
