ive fought the prison warden in chapter 1 about 6 times as each time i kill him the devourer dosnt appear. is there an editor to put the devourer brain in my invetory or do i have to do something else?? ihave killed the devourer before with a differnt character but decided to start again cos i missed most the quests.

This is a bug with the latest patch (one of many). Try restarting the chapter (think of it as free xp). That's what I had to do with my monk, and while it was annoying at the time the extra level was nice.

yeap it has to do with saving in the first 5 min. of the game i have heard, and this bug has been there sence v 1.01 mabe even 1.0 it happened to me too.

Yep, happened to me with version 1.01. But, I am starting with another character, and no probs.

You can spawn the creature and kill it again.
You must be completely alone. I would dismiss your henchman, and go inside the prison to do this. Once inside the prison bring up the console by hitting ` (Tilde key without pressing shift) then at > type DebugMode 1 You should see "success" Now at the console type dm_spawncreature M1Q2_DEVOUR This will summon a devourer and make it a part of your group. You will only be able to kill it by using > dm_cowsfromhell Doing this several times will eventually kill the creature and give you the brain.
