Sorry about that, She is doing VERY good now! She had 2 Bleeding Ulcers, and they went in and used a laser (I think a laser) and closed the Ulcers, and gave her blood and she is now just on an IV-nothing else, which is good.. she's back to normal--mood is good, looks good and stuff!

We will take her home Friday if all keeps getting better, which it looks that way.. they have her on Jello and Chicken Broth now too.

My sister is coming down for a week from Lexington, KY (I lived in Louisville, KY until 1989), and she wants to help her out too.. so we're doing well. I don't know if she can stay at the house much longer, she may need to move into a Retirement community (Not a nursing home or anything) just somewhere she can be watched 24/7.. I would HATE it if I went to sleep one night and WASN'T up to save her like I did.. that would kill me, ya know??

Thanks to EVERYONE that posted! It means a lot to me guys!!

I'll let you know when she is home, and how she is doing.

That's very glad to hear, Z. My parents are in a similar dilemma with my grandparents. It's not easy! Good luck and I hope that all works out well.

That is SUCH a relief! I was so anxious for you all, Ziroc. I understand your dilemma about having your mom home - hope all works out happily on that front as well.

Very Glad to hear your mother is doing so much better Z. I suppose the docs will be putting her on a diet and some meds for the forseeable future.

Thank good ness for that! A friend of mine lost his mum while he was in the hospital in adjacent room to her. Also, my g/f lost her dad last September. I'm definitely not looking forward to losing either of my folks
