I've just been experimenting with a Monk/Weaponmaster build and I've ran into a problem, which I believe to be a bug.
I was planning on getting to L15 (possibly 16) with the Weaponmaster prerequisites fulfilled. I did this and... no dual-class to Weaponmaster option. Why? Because my Weapon Focus was in hand-to-hand combat. I reloaded and selected Kama, and suprise suprise I could become a Weaponmaster. Why in the world can't I select my bare hands as a weapon of choice? Is this a bug or a deliberate attempt by Bioware to mong up my plans! I'd appreciate opinions on this please.

Somehow, I think that was written into the actual 3rd Edition D&D rules...weapons ARE generally considered not a part of the human body...unless you're CHUCK NORRIS!

...er, yeah. Not a bug though. While I would consider my fists to be weapons, the engine doesn't see them that way, possibly to prevent problems with the disarm feat? Might be kind of messy to get disarmed while unarmed...

...Well, if it's written into 3rd Edition rules, and it's in a game based upon 3rd Edition rules, it's probably NOT a bug...weapons, by definition, are what a person uses when their fists aren't considered enough, which is the common definition, and the one used in the games...

A Weapon Master can't focus on Unarmed in NWN. I don't know how the PnP rules are.
I would argue that a Monk is already an Unarmed "Weapon Master".
