I'm considering starting a new game as a druid but will it be worth it due to having a low level in bg2? Will it be worthwhile in throne of bhaal?

It will, at lvl15(ToB) you will get a lot of cool powers.

In TOB they have corrected a lot of let downs that they did for druids in BG2 and this has been said repeatedly by members of the Black Isle team

uh huh? i stand corrected. I think adding new shapechanges per level would be good. For instance when you get to level 20 you can shapechange into a baby wyvern (like in ribalds shop). At 25 it is upgrade to normal wyvern and at 30 it becomes greater wyvern. There should be a few others like these. This is just an example.

You can also change into a mammal, a reptile , and a bird once per day at level I forgot. But, there is a whole post about that stuff to get info on page 1. It is called " druid xp cap".

Druids are supposed to be one of the nastier classes in the addon.

Well, Druids don't get alot of work in TOB, about the same as many others do. Each class gets some neat higher level abilities. Clerics and druids get about the same. A few perks here and there. Some very cool powers to the warriors, thieves and bards.
