Okay, i keep trying to get to Ascension Peak. But the game keeps shutting down. Does anyone know whats wrong, or if i need to do something?

If you have not patched your game and it's one of the original ones, you can't get in there. There are patches available, i don't have a link handy, but try under "downloads" or try the official site. There are a few sites with links to the newest patch, but if you like picking pockets, try to find Patch 001b instead.
