OK, I've been trying to figure out if one of my chars that started before SoU came out will be able to qualify as a Shadowdancer. He's a high level rogue and he's leveled once since I installed SoU. I gave him a bunch of Tumbling levels, since that was a requirement he couldn't have met before. For new feats, neither Dodge nor Mobility came up, so I assumed he must have already had them. So after leveling, I checked his character window, it showed uncanny dodge but no mobility. So now I'm confused. Ideas?

Uncanny dodge and Dodge are to seperate things.

The only reason that I can see for not being able to select dodge is that it needs a DEX of 13. Also, if you just leveld to a feat level (3,6,9,12,15,18) your going to have to gain 5 more levels minimum to get those two feats, which is going to serverly cut down the number of shadowdancer levels you can take, even if you can level that high, although shadowdancer levels arent as important as for some prestige classes.

That shouldn't be the problem with Dodge... this is a dex based rogue whose unenhanced dex is 19 or higher, I forget exactly.

You are correct that, best case, he can pick up only a level or so of Shadowdancer, and if he can't, he can't, but I was hoping...

Take one or two levels of fighter to increase you feat frequency. Work on your hide and move silently skills also since the shadowdancer needs these. Dodge should be there once you meet the dex requirement.
