With you there. Morrowind was absolutely the best one they've made so far. Oblivion is prettier, but not better.
There used to be a lot more activity when Morrowind and the expansions were newer.

But the Oblivion and Morrowind new still continues because of mods! There is now a Morrowind Graphic Extender utility that takes away the fog, allows views top the horizon and has reflective water! Add all the mods that are still coming out that improve all the graphics from trees and the landscape to clothes and faces all the way down to probes and lockpicks!

Problem is that not many people (or any at all) play the same mod. While playing a mod and you encounter a problem and you ask in the forum. Nobody can answer it because no one else is playing them.

Ya, Ironworks always was a bit of a Bioware hangout. Morrowind remains my all-time favourite though, and i still check in here to see if any new posts.

Well, all I can say, is going back to playing Morrowind now, I realize how much better it is than Oblivion. Even on the road from Seyda Neen to Balmora I was always looking around, a little worried. In the vanilla Oblivion I never felt that!

Re: WW! Like I am amazed!
I think Morrowind was a damn fine game. Oblivion lost a lot of magic.
However, I find the leap of direction really interesting from Daggerfall to Morrowind. When I play Daggerfall to this day, it feels like a completely different game/series. |
