How a 60 year old wife stopped her husband from shooting her:

Upon drinking a fair few Newcastle Brownies, a 60+ year old realised that his wife has been cheating on him for the past 40 odd years of their marriage for no reason.
So when he went home, he started loading his ver illegal shotgun... and started hurling abuse at the wife who was in bed.
His wife calmly phoned 999 (emergency) and said:
"Hurry dear, there is a man pointing a gun at my head"
The operator could hear the threats in the background of her husband.
When she hung the phone up. she calmly said to her husband:
"come to bed dear"
He put the gun down and went to bed and immediately fell asleep. In fact they both fell asleep cuddling until armed policed bashed in from all directions and arrested him.
At the court he still accused his wife of cheating and denied ever touching a gun.
He said he loved her very much with tears and true emotion and she replied that she loves him too.
