The 20 Liches summon an unnatural darkness that envelops the temple and prevent any holy spells or undead turning from functioning as well as allowing them to walk on holy ground, the confidently approach the gates of the temple.

As they get close they all stop except for one that walks ahead of the others, he stops in front of the gates and says, in his dead voice, "Give us the mage as well as what he has stolen from us and we shall leave your temple standing! Defy us and we shall destroy it and your weak order!"

Neb recovers a bit, "Well, um, uh, they happen to be the ancient and infamous Council of Evil, a group of evil mages who sorta spread death and destruction around a bit until a bunch of paladins chopped them up and buried them in their underground fortress, which is where they were until yesterday," Neb unsheathes the Great Scimitar which glimmers with runes, "I journeyed to their ancient lair to uncover this, the sentient weapon dubbed 'Valkyrie'," The runes flare as Neb speaks the name, "As I took it from it's resting place I think I sorta accidentially..... Revived the Council of Evil...."

Bricks of obsidian begin to form around the exterior of the temple. "That should slow them down a bit, That barrier is not of this world but from the plane of twighight, where I rule. Now let's get a currier over to those Paladin friend's of our's, what were they called...oh yes Keldorn's Order"

While Elif was busy summoning help Neb headed towards the inner sanctum.

Even in here he could feel the temple shake as the liches unleashed their magic on the obsidian wall, he knew that they would break through in a matter of hours, if not minutes.
