I heard this earlier on the news. I hope there are no tsunamis resulting in that earthquake. If there is, I hope the warning is enough to get everyone away from the sea!

I'd be heading inland at this point... me and 500,000 of my closest friends I imagine the traffic is very backed up at this point (wherever there is traffic).
But I do hope that it goes quietly, for the sake of those who have already suffered once.

You'd think after last time, there would be a system in place. i.e. immediate TV and radio broadcasts urging relocation.
Just goes to show, the old adage 'lightning never strikes twice in the same place'...

I'm sure there is. The problem is that these rural fishing communities don't have radio/tv/good road links. Technology just can't help here.

One of the sensors picked up a 25CM wave out in deep water, which is pretty big for deep water but not tsunami size.
