i just created a swashbuckler and a fighter with the multiplayer trick. is it cheating, because if i created a fighter for my party, i made him very strong. i made him have 19 str, 18 dex, 19 con. this game has no perfect fighters and would it be cheating if i made one?

i wouldnt call it cheating but when u could have minsc(lots of character) as to a player created charater(no character) you miss out there. i hoped you already went through the game because you'll miss a lot of the fun of it if you just start out in multiplayer.

It's definitely not cheating--but it might be "munchkin." Munchkin is creating obscenely overpowered characters, just to be insanely powerful: You can't give your Fighter stats of 100)/18/18 and still claim to be realistic--how many [B]real[B] people have perfect stats like that?
And there actually ARE 'perfect' Fighters in the game--or at least good enough, if you know how to equip them. Keldorn needs the Gauntlets of Dexterity, Mazzy and Jaheira kick ass with STR girdles, etc. You don't need to roll 18's to be strong, 15's are good enough to wipe the map clean if you think ahead and know what you're doing. To avoid being munchkin, you might want to try an alternative method of rolling up characters: Take as many Rerolls as you want, but you're not allowed to touch the + or - buttons to move points from one stat into another. I just did this last night for my newest Multiplayer party (all Multiclassed Elves or Half-Elves--I'm calling them the Suldenesselites). Sure, none of them has a STR higher than 16, but I'm sure they'll do fine. Or try this: In BG1, Montaron and Coran are darned good Fighter/Thieves, but sadly, you cannot recruit them into your party in BG2, even if they were with you right up till the end of BG1. This bites, especially considering the lack of available Thieves in BG2. So why not use Shadowkeeper to.....re-create one of them? They won't have much personality, but at least you'll have a good Thief. You asked for peoples' opinions......sorry mine was so long.
