How do i kill this big dragon. I cant even get him below uninjured.
give me details please. I have some inported items on everyone that are all atleast plus 3.

Wait until you're more powerful and return later. It's not necessary to kill him to finish the Winspear quest.

Yeah, well I can relate here too. But you have to bear in mind that Dragonhide is very tough. You would need to a THAC0 of at least less than five to hope to defeat it. Bear in mind also that Red Dragons are immune to fire as well as most magic attacks.

Count yourself lucky that you don't have to kill this one, just yet. Red Dragonhide could make some dandyfine armour though.

Firkraag can be beaten relatively early, but only with some good luck, a lot of good tactics, and the right party mix.

Jahiera is really necessary so that she can cast pixie dust on the party to allow it to attack from surprise and insect plague to keep the dragon from casting any magic after the battle has started.

A cleric is really useful so that he/she can cast as many Holy Smite spells as can be memorized. Holy Smite is a GREAT dragon slaying spell. It's an area effect spell that only affects the enemy.

Have your mage cast a breech spell ASAP after seeing the dragon bring up a Stoneskin defense spell. Cast a Resist Fear and Haste spells on your party before entering the battle.

You'll need at least 2 really tanked up warriors getting upclose and personal with Mr Dragon.

Keep your party well spread out around the dragon. He WILL use his wing buffet. Accept it and just charge back into the battle.

When (not if) one of your tanks is getting beaten up bad, have him pull back and suck down a healing potion. You need all the strong swords. But keep the pressure on!!!

You CAN beat this dragon early in the game! It can be done without using really cute tricks.
