What i want to do here is start a thread that contains as much detail as possible to wich people can get pickpocketed and what you can get from theom but only items of note, not something like 'i pickpocketed this guy and he had some gold'. For anybody who doesn't want to get spoiled, dont read further down this thread because it will have SPOILERS in it.

Right the guy in the bottom right of the Caalaway store had an excellent item, a fish head amulet which gives good bonuses if I remember.

The guy in the Galloway trading depot has an amulet that gives +1 to all saving throws. I never did bother much with picking pockets, though. There's plenty of good stuff to buy, find, or loot from bodies. I preferred putting the points into search, lockpick, and detrap.

In my current HoF game(the Caster Heavy One) I have a pure rogue to do the talking for the party but I am also maxing out her pickpocket so I am going to try to pickpocket EVERYONE. Oh and I did something a little weird/cheap to that guy in the Callaway Trade Depot. I "Charmed" him, the spell, and then I could pickpocket as much as I wanted without him turning hostile. BUT the rules say he will remember when he comes out of the spell what happend to him. Does anyone know if he will remember the 347 times I couldn't pickpocket him or will he remember the 1 time I succeeded? Because a succesful pickpocket goes unnoticed and if thats all he remembers then who cares. However I have not been able to test this since he will NOT become "Uncharmed". Dispel magic won't even work. Uh, Eh, Ah. Thoughts?

OK, first small update. I apologize that it took a while but i had to finish my current game and start a new one so that i could pickpocket everybody.
Most people in the prelude have something. Mostly minor weapons but you could try getting those if you need to outfit your party. On the other hand, enough stuff can be gotten that is on the ground so if you bother with that or not is optional. It could land a few gold in your pocket though. The more interesting items so far are listed below with first the name of the character and then the items. Hedron Kerdos (captan of the wicked wench), lynx eye gem Guthewulfe Hengden (trader in Targos docks tavern), howling wolf charm, flask of braegh Kickshaw (found in Targos docks tavern), potion of luck Call Hyred (innkeeper Targos centre), horn coral gem More to come

Since the gems are worth about 12 gold we can probably exclude them. Maybe just a list of "Magic" items or "Plot" items that can be pilfered?

Jemeliah (Targos trading coster), Lucky knucky (+1 to all saves), kudos to Desdicado who was to first to mention this one. Ulbrec Dinnsmore (Targos town hall), ring of protection +1 Elytharra (Targos town hall), scroll mage armor, masterwork dagger Oswald Fiddlebender (Targos town), potion of explosions, oil of fiery burning Denham Fisher (Targos pavilion), scroll cure serious wounds Shawford Crale (Targos palisades), potion of healing Ennelia (horde fortress outside), masterwork longsword Kruntur (horde fortress goblin warrens level 2), potion of healing, potion of extra healing And now a bit of an oddity. When doing the quest for Yquoq (sp) you need to retrieve those bracers for Kruntur in order to get the message. So i did that and gave the bracers to Kruntur. Afterwards i picked Kruntur's pockets to see if i could get the bracers back. Well, i got them back but they were destroyed. The discription of the destroyed bracers said something along the lines that the battle must have been to fierce so that they brooke during the battle, but he was still alive. It seems that the game thinks that when you got the bracers for the second time that it had to be in battle.

Thats funny about the bracers, Ive seen the destroyed ones myself... too many times As for the weapons I agree. Masterwork weapons in NON Heart of Fury is worth it. But gold and gems? I think they should be a gimme off of ANY npc... If they arent carrying SOMETHING they shouldnt even be there. Have you tried PP Hedron's Mother in the docks? No particular reason. Just wondering if she had anything. She was awful cheap after the party saved her life and I was hoping to get a reward out of her next time through.
