Three of mine were pulled before they came through. The other one is okay according to the dentist so it can stay I'm 16 (nearly 17) now

I had my wisdom teeth when I was 16 as well. Never had to have them pulled. My sister had to though and it is pretty painful experience so hope you don't have to.

The only time You get wisdom teeth Pulled Is when they are Impacted (Growing in a direction other than stright up). Some People With very big Mouths never Have to worry.
Then there are those with small jaws and then they can cause all sorts of troubles. Best thing to do is, next time you go to the Dentist for your anual check up and cleaning ask your dentist to check them for you. If you don't go to dentist every 6 months then it's time to go see one. He can let you know weather your a big mouth or not. But use your wisdom and let a pro tell you what to do not Doctor Ironworks, Good Luck. [ 03-12-2004, 04:21 PM: Message edited by: TheCrimsomBlade ]

I just had one of my Wisdom teeth pulled at 32. Go to the dentist now, and find out if they will be a problem. If so, get them pulled ASAP. The longer you wait, the more it's going to hurt.

The only way to know if you'll have to have your wisdom teeth pulled is by going to a dentist, since he can tell you if they're going to cause a problem by coming in wonky.
I have a small mouth myself (though judging by my posts you'd never believe it) so my last wisdom tooth that's coming through right now will have to be pulled soon, since it's growing in a little crooked. The other three came in straight, so they could stay. |

I had mine out when i was 16 because i had them growing into the teeth in front. I had mine removed with surgery but it costs more but the dentest said that i would have more problems if i did not get them out. it all depends on how many you have got to get rid of. i had three out in one go.

I had mine ripped out when I was 18 because the dentist said the lower left one didn't have enough room. Other than that I would have left them in as they didn't bother me. Never had a problem after the surgery either although some of my friends howled after theirs were removed. I have felt quit dumber though since my smarts got pulled...

Had two pulled out last December(the left two). My jawline just wasn't big enough for them. The extraction itself was swift and painless, due to the jabs.
Cue one hour later though... ... Pain does not even begin to describe it. I was like a giant fetus for the next two days. I shudder... because my right two are growing now, and starting to give problems. |

Mine had started growing when I was 15, finished at 16 and are still there now (just turned 17). They haven't given me problems so far, but they did make the gum sore when they grew out...that was annoying...
EDIT: Now that I check, my upper left one hasn't grown at all yet...weird...all the other three have. [ 03-13-2004, 05:16 AM: Message edited by: slicer15 ] |
