My grandmother does the same thing. But her house is not THIS bad. She keeps all her junk in the basement.

There's a two hundred dollar solution to this problem. Rent a trash dumpster.

A friend of mine did that in helping her mom move from the family homestead. Rented a ten-yard dumpster and filled it with stuff from the basement, garage, and attic. Yeah, it's hard to let go of sometimes, but it has to be done.
