Does anyone know what it means when someones computer registers with the IP addres 0.0.0.0 . I have program called Trillian to chat and for some strange reason it shows you the IP adress of the person you are talking to, one of my friends IP adress is just a bunch of zeros.
Does it mean she has a firewall? if it is then most of my friends are very badly protected because she is the only one that does...

Oh and what is the correct spelling for address... adress... addres you know... that home thingy...

I'm going to guess and say yes she has some kind of good internet security on her PC. Probably a firewall as you said that keeps her IP address out of sight. BTW address is spelt correctly like that in singular format. Plural would be addresses. Hope that helps.

An entry with a value of 0.0.0.0 is considered a 'default route'....
