Back from the ban, myself. Overlong one, that is... but oh well.

Good morning, all. Beautiful day it is in Texas, and I am thinking of getting out of my sweats and into footer bags. Darn, I have to go into the office, later, and I was planning to write this moring.

Well, I shun XP like the plague so I can't really help you there.

First step is to verify that the keyboard is good or bad. Find a friend and plug your keyboard in his machine, then try his keyboard in your machine. If his doesn't work in your machine, and yours works in his machine you have a software problem, or maybe the motherboard is flaky.

edit> heck, keyboards are cheap. Just buy another keyboard! If you're not using a USB keyboard, but your mobo supports USB you might want to try a USB keyboard to verify whether or not the mobo may be at fault.

Sigmar, what do you do if you don't have a blender? Do you have to crush 'em by hand? Or do you not actually need to turn the blender on?

Exactly young grasshopper. You need not to turn it on, merely place it within the blender

Alternatively you could place the substances in a hat made of newspaper clippings and then request a divine force to turn it into a garden gnome, but I've found that works less often.

The assassins got me once you see...sure they said they were Jehovahs witnesses claiming that they wanted to spread the owrd of God but I was onto them. I deployed my duck billed platypus, took my most prized possesions (I give you three guesses ), lit a fire in my house and fled to my neighbours toolshed and changed my name to "The Wild insane person who clutches pitchforks"...or was that my neighbour. Anyway what other choice did I have?

You could have taken a thermo flask and a rubber duck, silly!
I had some assassins come after me but I said that unless they sodded off I'd sign 'em up for thirty porn site mailing lists AND send them SMS spam four times a day!
They went then, but I chucked a cat after them and they went a bit faster.
What also works is pursuing those wee bastads on a pogostick. The sight of you bouncing up and down with a furious expression clutching an umbrella like a lance scares thesh-bejesus outta them

*Looks at his coffee suspiciously, then sniffs the air* What is going on, mere persiflage or are you two substance abusing again? *Smiles at the thought of Kaltia on a pogo stick with an umbrella.*

Interesting, a rubber duck you say?

As for fighting back how can I? They look like those special agents from the matrix (before anyone claims I'm prejudice against other cultures I am supposedly half-Jehovahs witness so..its Ok ) have you seen the scary stuff those guys can do?

Although admittedlty I didn't have an umbrella at the time. I can't use my cats either, and my platypus is still being treated for second degree burns . Perhaps next time I meet them I'll force them to watch Mary Poppins. If what you're saying is true the sight of a flying woman with an umbrella will scare the black off their suits!

Oh....you're so DAFT!
Do you, or do you not, have a pogostick? Or a bmx? Skateboard? Tambourine? Fifth-hand drumkit? Broken Ford Fiesta? A small dead dog? A fifty pound note? (you may wish to take the serial number off so the bank can give you equal money back).
Now, collect these items together, plus one of the assassins, place them in a wardrobe with an angry catapillar (do you know how hard it is MAKING catapillars angry???) shut the door, attract a bolt of lightning to the closet, and voila! Nothing's changed!
Except the sausages. Oooh, yes, the sausages....
