Hi.

I've seen various AD&D Rules packs...30, 40 and 50 for D/L. I know they're for BG1 but what are they, what do they do and what's the difference? I know it's BG1 related but it's concerned with AD&D in general so I'd like to find out if poss'. I may well do BG1 in the not too distant future, if I do, which should I D/L?

Cheers.

Hi LoA.

No, they're on teamBG's website with all the BG1 D/Ls - http://www.teambg.com/d_players.shtml
I'm trying to work out what's what and what's best to use should I replay the game.

PS. What's/where's the Wizards website?

Charlie, those are level 30, 40, and 50 rules packs, and there is one for bg2, as well. What they do is allow your characters abilities to continue to raise as you advance in levels beyond what the game is set up for. I have them in both BG1, and BG2, and I highly recommend them. I think there is also one for IWD. Some of what they affect are thieving abilities, spells, thac0, etc. None of which is covered in the XP cap remover.

Aaaahh, cheers Roberthebard.

That,s why my L23 fighter stopped receivig THACO adj' etc. I've seen the BG1 sets, where are the rule packs for BG2 located?

P.S. Does lev 50 pack cover all levels from 20 up to 50? Or does pack 20 do levels 20 - 29 and you have to install pack 30 to go from 30 - 39 etc etc?

Charlie, I'm home. Shall we Begin? I couldn't get rogerwilco setup properly. I'll have to spend some time fooling around with it. Speaking of this D/L do you think I should D/L for our game?

Finally...They are also available in the player downloads at teambg. They cover everything from 1 to 50. I've got to defragment, it's taking forever to load a page...

Hi Turbovee.

Roger wilco will allow people to communicate verbally in real time. This means you can speak and plan tactics etc rather than typing all your messages. Particularly useful if like me you type with one finger, and worse still I play in the semi-dark. Not worth doing tonight but well worth considering if you're going to try a multi-player game. Doesn't cost anything and it's run through the net anyway.....better than a phonecall.

I'll meet you now, We've got unexpected visitors so I'll play it by ear, should be ok for an hour or so at least. You don't need to post your IP, I can get it ok.

I'm sorry about the RW thing. I down loaded it but I have to configure my drivers somehow to make it work. Give me about 10 min while I try to bring the stormqueen along
