I don't even know how to explain what the spoilers are going to spoil, without spoilers... You probably don't want to read this unless you've played a decent portion of the way through TOB.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . It's my first time playing this game, and I just killed Yaga Shura (BTW, I really HATE Mellisan and if she's NOT a villain I'll just die of shock, but that's nothing to do with this post I suppose). I just talked with the Solar about where I came from, and saw my mother, and Gorion and Sarevok, etc. Gorion made a big deal about only having been able to save ONE child, ONE Bhaalspawn. Yet Imoen is also a Bhaalspawn. So how the heck did she come under Gorion's care if he could only save me? [ 04-16-2004, 11:30 AM: Message edited by: LadyLuthien ]

"But not *all* of the Bhaalspawn died. Some of us used the chaos to escape"
Since Immy started out a thief, I think it's safe to assume that she managed to slip away during it all, and perhaps Gorion snatched her up on the way out.

There's no reason to assume Imoen was ever at that temple in the first place. If the Harpers were able to research Bhaalspawn in one area, there's nothing to prevent them from doing the same thing in another area--and then dumping the spawn-child on poor Gorion, since he's already babysitting another one.

It taxes my memory since its two games ago but wasn't Imoen the ward of another monk at candlekeep. She just latched on to "The Prime Character (insert your characters name here)" since they were similar in age and stuck in the same dull place. That is unless you like books. If so I have a great tome of Golems; great bedtime reading.

She was the ward of Winthrop... Hardly a monk, but yes, you have the right idea.
Tome of Golems. Yechhhh. Bo-ring. I puts the book back. Not enough pictures for you anyway, I thinks.

Then how did Sarevok use said chaos to escape? Did his apparation *lie* to you in your pocket plane?
I think it's safe to say that they weren't *all* infants at the time. Some of them could have been toddlers at the time. Can't have every single Bhaalspawn born in the same year. Six's explanation is more plausible, though.

That's why I mentioned it. I doubt that an apparation, charged with the sole purpose of speaking of events past, would be capable of lying, especially in your own pocket plane.

Its pretty obvious that all the Bhaalspawn could not have been in that temple as infants. How do you get such a large number that would have had to escape. Lets remember the Bhaalspawn shade in the first of Solar's challenges. He lived a normal childhood and early adult life until he became a homicidal maniac and was hanged by the local townsfolk. Lets also remember our Giant Bhaalspawn. He certainly was not at a Temple for slaying.
