NWN Buildier Questions

As you know I am building Baldur's Gate III - Heart of Cormyr
using the Aurora Builder's Set.

here are some questions that bug me:

1/ Is there anyway to import portraits in? Not for the PC but for NPCs?
2/ Where do I change where my PC starts in a map?
3/ Is there a Elminster/Gandalf wizard appearance or old man appearance in NWN because they are all either thugs or sturdy northerners.

The only one I can answer is the one about starting position. To your right and at the top of the screen, there is the icon of the little red arrow with a white circle around it. Click on it, then with your cursor, click on the place on the map where you wish your character to start. With the newly placed arrow on the map, you can then change the direction the character would be facing by working the directions arrows at the bottom right of the toolset...the ones that are arrows circling around. One rotates to the left, and the other to the right. If you palce the starting arrow in a location that the character is not allowed to start in, like a lava pit...then the toolset will tell you of the error.

my interest in nwn is suddenly rekindled as a thought occurs, you really building a full-on big bg3 type game? with plenty of areas and a nonlinear plot? if so fancy collaborating on some of the levels/plots/quests, basically im too lazy to do a project on that scale solo, but im good at designing good storylines and quests quickly (i have to design them quick before i get bored and go off to do something else [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) i got plenty of creativity, but my drive lasts only so long, if you fancy collaborating to an extent, tell me what kind of plots you'd like designed and i can come up with some that would be cool.

Heya Avatar, sounds cool, and Larry is correct about the start position thing. But I was wondering, where in Cormyr it was based?

1. Yes, with hak paks, though I do not know how.
2. Larry told ya! [img]smile.gif[/img]
3. No. No robes,long beards, or pointy hats ship with the toolset, though I have seen hak haks on NWVault that provide all three.

Grungi: Thanks so much for your offer. What I would love that I do not have the time for is accurate info and old names of characters (interesting ones) in BG1 and 2.
I am basing this BG3 on my own epic story.

The full details of chapter 1 is in the ToB forum.

It entails of a trade war incited by the Zhentarium between the Amn and Waterdeep.
It will have side quests including joining Ulcaster's undead army's revenge on Calisham Wizards....
meeting up with old flames like Nalia of Amn and so forth.
It will also jorney to Cormyr and beyond to battle Cyric and find the true story behind Minsc's disappearance.
Ending with a huge finale at candlekeep....

of what you want, an idea of the plot, and what characters need elaborating on, my problem atm is i havent played BG2 yet but i know BG1 v.well, id be more interested in sidequests and plots as id need less background knowledge for those.
